The princess birthday party theme is so lovely for young girls, and offers many opportunities to personalize your little girl’s party experience.  One of the first things to consider is if you’re referencing a specific princess such as Snow White or Cinderella, or a more general princess theme.  We suggest that for the younger princess birthday girls (say, for a 1st birthday) keep things simple with a general princess theme.  When the princess is old enough to identify with specific princess characters, allow them to help decide the type of princess she wants to be.

Planning our princess birthday party, one of the first things we consider after identifying the date and guest list is the party invitations.   Here are a few particularly adorable princess birthday party invitations.

Snow White princess birthday party invitationsAnother sweet invitation option is this beautifully illustrated

. This is the perfect invitation for a little birthday princess and all her princess friends.  This is a particularly wonderful choice for a girl’s 7th birthday party because the original story says that Snow White becomes the “fairest of them all.”

princess and the frog birthday party invitations Also from Disney, we liked these
Princess and the Frog Invitations (8)
welcoming guests to a special princess birthday party. The Princess and the Frog is a story about a little girl named Tiana who is mistaken as a princess. With the Disney movie coming out in just a few days, we think this party theme is going to be huge in the coming years. These lovely invitations will coordinate beautifully with color palettes including lavender, blues and light greens. Be sure to select a gorgeous tiara for the birthday princess!

One of our favorite birthday party ideas is a cooking class.  From young children to adults, it’s an engaging, satisfying way to spend time with friends and family enjoying delicious food.

Design Mom created these absolutely beautiful birthday party invitations for the cooking class event.  They are die cut hang tag shapes with kitchen theme patterns on the front and event details on the back.  They’re tied to a wooden kitchen spoon with cheerful ribbon.    Cutest. invitation. ever.
