It’s nice to know party planners have indecision about birthday ideas just like the rest of us.  In her post, the Party Planning Professor weighs the merits of cupcakes vs. making a whole cake.  (And if using cupcakes, buy a cupcake rack?).  Another issue many party-throwers regularly consider is whether to bake or buy the cake.  We like having the control over the ingredients and usually default to baking birthday cakes, but time and budget are always issues.
