Most kids have a natural affinity for engaging with animals.  Why not turn this into a birthday party?  Here are a few ideas for a fun, educational kids birthday party where furry friends are welcome!

1. Visit a small farm or dairy and learn about how it works.   Some allow kids to milk a cow.  They may also watch a sheep-shearing demonstration and learn about the making of wool fabric.  Horseback rides are another fun option.  Top off he afternooon with a picnic lunch.

2. Many A.S.P.C.A. and other animal shelters welcome volunteers to provide animals with love and attention.    Kids have a blast and they’re improving the lives of animals waiting for homes.

3. You can also combine baking and a love for animals.    As part of your birthday festivities, bake several batches of natural pet treats.  Deliver these to a local shelter for the pets to enjoy.
